Located south of the town of the same name, the Rodillazo beechwood is a small beech forest, north-facing, that covers the cooler slopes of the valley. In spite of its small size, this forest provides optimal conditions for forest birds, whose presence is favoured by the existence of old and big beeches, with numerous cavities to establish their nests.
Hidden in the depths of the wood, forest diurnal raptors such as the northern goshawk or the eurasian sparrowhawk, or nocturnal, such as the tawny owl, stalk their prey with surprising agility.
