Ondinas reservoir

General information

Place

The Ondinas reservoir interrupts the natural course of the Sil River and concentrates the energy of the water for hydroelectric power. Small in size, the reservoir is located on the feet of steep slopes where grows a lush mixed oak forest.
Therefore, in addition of spotting on it some typically aquatic birds that swim carefree on the surface of the reservoir, as the mallard or the great crested grebe, you can also see other birds associated with forest environments, such as Eurasian jays or even black kites, flying over the water body or moving between the treetops.
