Villameca reservoir

The Villameca reservoir retains the water from the Tuerto River, and through numerous channels, distributes water throughout the fertile plains to ensure crop irrigation located downstream.
Water birds, both resident and migratory, find in this reservoir an excellent place to live or to spend the winter, especially in areas where the riparian vegetation or the pinewood come so close to the water that put their roots in it.
A walk following the route of "The Island", allows us to approach the shore of the reservoir and observe, especially in winter, birds swimming in its quiet waters.
