Luna reservoir dam

The reservoir dam of the Luna River, located in the vicinity of Los Barrios de Luna, anchors its structure into a series of big rocky outcrops. The wells and existing shelves on these rocks and the dam itself, as well as the proximity of water and some forests, favour the presence of numerous birds.
The road running along the dam offers an excellent watching point of the waterfowl swimming on the surface of the reservoir. From there it is also easy to see some large raptors and, in summer, the acrobatic flight of house martins, crag martins and common swifts.
